Step back in time with this beautifully atmospheric workshop, inspired by the elegance of Victorian feather illustrations. Students create a detailed study, choosing from a selection of real feathers, drawing inspiration from the exquisite presentation of antique natural history references. We age the paper to evoke a genuine period feel, then work with classic ink dipping and fine-tipped pens, completing the piece with a handwritten descriptive text in the style of a Victorian wildlife study notebook. A truly unique and absorbing project that combines artistry with history. Suitable for adults of all abilities.
Adults only, all materials are provided by your tutor, hand-outs and image references also provided for use on the day.
