In this charming and tactile workshop, students create a richly textured close-up study of a sardine can — a wonderfully quirky subject that lends itself beautifully to mixed media techniques. We begin by building an interesting ground using decoupage, before working into the piece with a selection of pens and coloured inks in a line and wash technique. Along the way you'll develop skills in detailed observation, capturing texture, metallic reflection and the expressive quality of line. A fantastic workshop for those who enjoy detail-focused, experimental work. Suitable for adults of all abilities.
Adults only, all materials are provided by your tutor, hand-outs and image references also provided for use on the day.
Friendly, professional tuition, with lots of demos and one-to-one expert tuition throughout the day.
Coffee, tea selection and fresh pastries are provided.
Free parking for the workshop day.
